Working with Baldwin, an all girls private school, has given me the opportunity to learn a lot about educating girls. I found 10×10, who I’ve now done some web development work with as well and want to share what they are about.
10×10 is a global movement for girls’ education – a film and social action campaign. People working together to change girls’ lives. Educating girls breaks the cycle of poverty and changes the world. The evidence is overwhelming; educating girls dramatically improves the well-being of their families, communities and countries. Educated girls become women who are less likely to contract HIV/AIDS or be victims of domestic violence. On average, they earn more money, are more likely to participate in politics, and have fewer and healthier children. Find out more on their website or watch the videos below.
