Newfangled Me: Meet Robyn Connelly!

Even the largest and most recognized companies need marketing that differentiates them from their competition to survive. Like it or not, if you are doing the same thing as your competition, you will only get average results. Even grand ideas without implementation are useless. That's where I come in.

If you′ve got innovative strategies and just need help with implementation, if you have no idea where to start, or you don't know what might be working or not working – I can help you reach the next level.

Strategic Marketing Plans

My process for developing a comprehensive marketing plan for your company includes two major phases. Phase one includes a review of existing marketing practices, interviews with company principals, and an in–depth audit report including recommendations to achieve desired market results. Phase two is based on the audit results to implement the desired methodologies and strategies suggested and approved by principals.

Public Relations

The most persuasive marketing is not what you say about yourself, but what others say about you. It is by no means limited to newspapers. It includes past clients and referral sources through their testimonials, awards and recognition, industry publications and associations, etc.

Some of the many proven techniques I've used in the past include traditional press releases, press events, client events, online/video/audio/print testimonials, award nominations, and the ghost writing of industry articles, white papers and even books for distribution. All of these techniques are about building credibility and branding your company as the experts at what you do.

Project Management

Project management is essential to efficiently reaching objectives within time and cost constraints. Project managers must be able to initiate, plan, execute, control and close a project within these constraints to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

For projects of all sizes, hiring project managers can help you avoid the root causes of problems such as the over burdening of resources and constant priority shifts that create confusion and impact productivity.

Complex Multi–Step, Multi–Media Marketing Campaigns

It takes an average of seven contacts with a potential client to illicit a response and not every client is receptive to the same medium. This means that any marketing or advertising campaign must contain multiple steps through multiple mediums or you will significantly reduce your response rate. Some campaigns get great results with three steps, others it takes fifteen. I′ve orchestrated some campaigns with more than 50 steps. The size of the campaign should depend on many factors such as the targeted audience, cost of the transaction, demand, budget restraints, the objectives of the campaign, etc. Don′t leave money on the table by underestimating the power of multiple touches to your prospects.

Business Development

The rise of social networking has put business development into the spotlight recently and changed the way we interact in the business community. A critical tier for your company's sales and marketing success, business development and social networking can take many forms. It is no longer suffient to go to a few lunches every month and exchange a few cards.

People like doing business with people they have a relationship with, whether the relationship begins in person or through other mediums. They are also much more likely to refer others to you. Keeping in touch with clients can eat up a lot of time and resources, but it is well worth the effort, especially since much of this effort can now be automated effectively.

The ability to generate new leads and avenues to create business relationships through has also increased as social networking and business development have been brought to the forefront. Technology has been a big player in this evolution, providing new avenues for professionals to connect and unique ways for companies to communicate with their customers.

There is no one fit solution or set formula for success. Every company should have a custom strategy that will fit with their corporate culture, target market and overall objectives.

Online Marketing

My approach is a very practical and straightforward one. I shun design for design sake and believe in the power of effective reach and results. In hiring me, you gain a partner for mutual success who is devoted to enhancing your online presence and increasing your conversions. It is my philosophy that it does′t matter how sophisticated your website looks, or how complex the functionality . . . if no one can find you online, or once they do, you have no record of them or their interest level. I believe in simple, user friendly design; clean, accessible code; search engine friendliness and search engine marketing that measures returns.
